I think it was a good decision to go back for Ramo because he colud have been still alive. That was very nice of her.

I think she should build a big enough fire so that maybe the boat might see the fire and come back to her.

I think Karana’s idea to go back for Ramo was a good idea because he would have died from not having enough food or from the dogs.(which happend anyway)Ramo dserved to at least live through one more day on the island. I love this book so far, how about you?

I think it was a good idea for Karana to go back to the island for her brother Ramo because he wouldn’t be able to fend for himself. He probably would have been dog food a little bit earlier if Karana wasn’t there.I also wrote a poem, here it is:
THE ALEUTS
They come
They steal
They lie
They deseat but in others eyes they are red ants

I think it was a wonderful thing that Karana did because if she hadn’t Ramo would have died the first night when the wild dogs came.

Island of the Blue Dolphins-
Q - Was it a good decision for Won-a-pa-lei to jump of the boat and go to her brother back on the island?
A - I think it was a good decision, plus she had to think fast because the boat was slowly drifting away from the island. The more time she thought about it the tougher time she would have if she decided to go back and stay with Ramo. She made and reasonable decision because Ramo is only six and he probably couldn’t survive until a ship came back to get him. He would be extremely lonely and very scared/worried just like Won-a-pa-lei is now. Another good explanation about why Won-a-pa-lei went back for her brother is because her and Ulape were his parents and Won-a-pa-lei knew that if her parents were there right now they would of probably went back to the island and care for him.
I would have done this if it were my sister, even though she is older and could most likely survive on her own. She is part of my family and no one gets left behind. I don’t think she has good surviving skills anyway, so it would be like saving her from dangerous things that could affect her life in many ways. My sister means a lot to me too because if something ever happened to her I would have no one to talk to about school, sports, or girl stuff besides my mom. If I was in that postion my mind would be blank because it is a very hard decision to make on sudden notice.

I think Karana made the right choice to go back.If it was my brother I would go back 100%.Ramo may have made a wrong choice to go back and get his fishing spear, but Wan-a-pal-ie forgave him.

I think Karana made the right choice to return to the island of Galasat because she could of died in her boat because there was a leak in her boat. She could of drouned and died.

I think Karana made a good choice because her brother was alone and he’s only six. She also made a bad choice because she could get hurt too.

I think that Karana made a good choice because otherwise Ramo would have been dog chow within a couple of hours.I probably would go back for my brother or sister if I had one.

I think that it was a good idea to go back to the island to be with Ramo because if she didn’t he might of died of starvation because all he knew was how to keep watch over the abalones.

I think that it was sort of a good choice to go back for Ramo. I think it was sort of a good choice to go back for Ramo because if she didn’t Ramo probably would not be able to survive by himself. Then I think it was not such a good idea to go back because if Ramo died, like he did, then she would only have herself and she could end up not surviving and two people would have died. Also, she could have drowned when she swam back to shore.

I think it was a good choice. If she already had a hole in the canoe and it would take her longer to go east than go back. I would definatly go back to the island. She made a smart choice.

I believe Karana did the right thing by going to save her brother, Ramo. If she hadn’t Ramo could have been so lonely and might starve himself like Little Ann did in Where the Red Fern Grows!
